AMPLIGENE, LEADER IN FRANCE FOR THE BSE SCREENING
The Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE) or commonly called "mad cow disease was identifyed for the first time in Great Britain in 1985 and declared in 1986. In France, since 2001, all the bovines older than 30 months must have been subject of BSE sreening test before entering the food chain.
With more than 1300 analysis per day, the laboratory AMPLIGENE is the leader in France concerning BSE screening.
Our implants in 3 regions : Lyon (69) - Cuiseaux ( 71) - Clermont-Ferrand (63) limit the lost time for the sample transporting and thereby guarantee a quick result even in case of reanalysis.
Our laboratory is Chartered by the Ministère de l'Agriculture et de la Pêche and commissioned by the COFRAC (programme 167) on 3 ELISA analysis technics, therefore permitting a return of the results even in case of equipement failure.

The sample collecting is realised by companies certifyed for infectious matters transportation and in accordance with the ADR (Accord européen relatif au transport des marchandises Dangereuses par la Route) Convention. The samples packing is very strict, it must be in accordance with the P650 instruction: triple packing (primary = barquette ; secondary = container ; thirdly = cardboard).
